Yesterday we posted two stories that went into great detail about Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report “Above & Beyond”. I’ll review some of the toplines from PPFA’s annual report for 2022-2023 today.
As we wrote on Tuesday, “The service figures in this latest annual report cover October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. The report includes numbers for approximately three months following the June 2022 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Women’s Health Services that overturned Roe v. Wade.”
#1. PPFA likes to intimate that it’s a full-service “health center” for women. The seams on that lie started to show themselves a few years ago when the numbers for non-abortion services began to drop—and still do. Planned Parenthood performed 392,715 abortions the year the annual report covers and abortions outnumbered prenatal care 62 to 1.
“Between 2022 and 2023, preventive-care visits fell by 31.0 percent, pap tests fell by 13.5 percent, cancer screenings fell by 1.4 percent, and adoption referrals fell by 4.5 percent,” according to Michael New. “Interestingly, for every adoption referral in 2023, Planned Parenthood performed over 228 abortions.”
“Planned Parenthood states it performed 392,715 abortions,” the Liberty Council reported. “That means Planned Parenthood killed 1,075 babies in abortions every single day even though the abortion giant claims its main focus is merely ‘women’s health care.’ In other words, Planned Parenthood kills 44 babies every hour.”
That 392,715 figure accounts for almost 40% of all abortions performed in the United State.
#2. Planned Parenthood is a “non-profit” that took in a record $2.054 billion in revenue. Of the over $2 billion in revenue, 34% came from taxpayers in the form of “Government Health Services Reimbursements & Grants.” Revenues outpaced expenses by more than $178 million!
#3. Abortion provides a huge portion of the money PPFA takes in. Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon, NRLCs’ Director of Education & Research looked at the figures that are in the report and “at minimum, this leads us to believe that abortion brings in at least $196 million, though a figure at least twice that is not out of the question” {].
#4. PPFA has clearly been active at the state level. “They fought any pro-life laws and moved as many patients as possible to states where they have strong affiliates and high capacity mega-clinics,” according to Dr. O’Bannon.
“Planned Parenthood has long been the biggest, most powerful, and most deadly abortion promoter and provider in the U.S. Now, even with Roe in the rear view window, PPFA is poised to go “Above & Beyond” whatever horrible things they’ve done in the past.
