THANK YOU FOR DEDICATION, ENERGY, AND PRAYER

By Carol Tobias, NRL Political Director

On behalf of National Right to Life PAC, I want to thank you for everything you did to help re-elect pro-life President George W. Bush. No words can adequately convey the deep appreciation the NRLC staff has for the dedication and energy you poured into these elections.

There were many ways to help in this election and every single deed made a difference.

To our state affiliates' PACs, and their employees, state officers, and board members - - thank you for your leadership in making sure that no stone was left unturned in getting out the pro-life vote.

To our grassroots volunteers - - thank you for all your "blood, sweat, and tears." You made every victory possible.

You made phone calls. You distributed literature. You talked one-on-one with neighbors, family members, co-workers, and friends, educating them about where the candidates stand on the life issues. National Right to Life members donated hard-earned dollars to NRL PAC.

Money was raised to pay for newspaper, radio, and TV ads. You put a bumper sticker on your car or a sign in your window. You put up a sign in your yard, on the side of your barn, or on a building beside a highway. You put up billboards. You used the Internet to pass along information or to organize volunteers. You helped with get-out-the-vote efforts on election day.

And you prayed.

We don't know what the next four years will bring. Will the President have an opportunity to nominate new members to the Supreme Court? Will we have enough votes in the Senate to confirm those nominees?

We had a wonderful victory on November 2, but the battle isn't over. Nothing worthwhile and significant is ever achieved with ease.

But an increasingly informed public is becoming progressively more pro-life. In the nation's capital, we are in a better position to advance the cause of protecting innocent life than we ever have been in the history of the pro-life movement. That advance must come one vote, one appointment, one inch at a time. But we are on the right track and we are motivated.

Thank you for making that possible.
