NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE

MOURNS THE LOSS OF PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN

The following statement can be attributed to Wanda Franz, Ph.D., president of the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC):

Today, we mourn the loss of one of the greatest champions of the pro-life movement.  President Ronald Reagan was a man of great conviction and faith.  His stalwart opposition to abortion was grounded in compassion and love – both for mother and her unborn child.  He was an ever-faithful friend to the pro-life movement and in recognition of that faithfulness.  In 1997, National Right to Life honored him with a tribute at the 4th Annual Proudly Pro-Life Awards dinner.  Former President Reagan’s pro-life legacy will live on in the policies that he established and which have been followed by subsequent pro-life presidents. He will be greatly missed by the pro-life movement.

The National Right to Life Committee is the nation’s largest pro-life group with affiliates in all 50 states and more than 3,000 local chapters nationwide.  NRLC works through legislation and education to protect those threatened by abortion, infanticide and euthanasia.
