A Love for Life Brand new in 2008! A Love for Life will provide Christians with the biblical and historical information that they need to make an informed decision on the abortion question. It will also take a critical and biblically based look at the arguments and theologies of today’s most prominent pro-choice clergy. And it will determine if abortion really fulfills the will of God, as many pro-choice Christians believe, or whether abortion is a clearly sinful act. In short, readers of A Love for Life will discover the real message of the church on abortion.
The Right Choice This collection of sermons is an effort, sponsored by the NPRC, to express the Christian understanding of the dignity of human life. It makes clear that the Christian churches here represented are seeking to inform and form their people in the context of worship, according to the revelation offered to the world through the Word of God.
Thinking Theologically About Abortion An ecumenical conference for pastors, entitled “Building a Ministry for Life,” sponsored by the National Pro-Life Religious Council, in the fall of 1998, has resulted in this collection of reflections on the spiritual crisis that abortion is for the churches.
Holy Abortion? Four mainline Protestant denominations (the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church - USA, the United Church of Christ, and the United Methodist Church) are affiliated with the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC). In this important new book, the authors carefully examine the literature and liturgical aids produced by RCRC, demonstrating how its theology radically contradicts the statements on abortion issued by its affiliated churches.
