Plan Your Florida Summer
Vacation Now around NRLC 2011
By Darlene Hart
Start your next summer
vacation with the National Right to Life Convention June 23–25,
2011.The pro-life educational event of the year will be housed in a
beautiful hotel in Jacksonville, Florida, where you will meet old
friends and make new acquaintances.
This part of the Sunshine
State is perfect for a family vacation, so bring the kids and plan
to stay an extra week. Jacksonville is only one hour away from
historic St. Augustine, our nation’s oldest city. If golf is your
sport you’ll want to stop along the way at the World Golf Village
and visit the World Golf Hall of Fame, or take in a movie at the
IMAX Theater. There’s even an 18-hole mini golf course that is both
adult and kid friendly.
Once you arrive in St.
Augustine you can take a trolley ride through the city or walk thru
the city gates and along St. George Street with its unique shops.
Maybe take in the old fort or climb the lighthouse. There’s so much
to do there.
If history is not for you
then maybe you’re interested in outer space. Cape Canaveral and the
Space Center are only two hours away. But before you get there
you’ll pass Daytona Beach. Any NASCAR fan in the family will want
you to stop by and visit the Daytona Speedway, home of the Daytona
500! It’s right off the interstate on your way to the Cape.
Of course no trip to Florida
is complete without a visit to our most famous resident ... Mickey
Mouse. Walt Disney World Resort is a short three-hour ride from
Jacksonville. There the adventure is endless, from riding the Tea
Cups in the Magic Kingdom to having lunch in Germany at Epcot
Center.
So save the date and begin
planning now. Mark your calendars and make plans to vacation in
sunny Florida and attend NRLC 2011. Watch NRL News for more details.
