Today’s
News & Views:
By Dave Andrusko As I sat down to write the editorials for the March issue of National Right to Life News, the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area was blanketed with the kind of snow we don’t often get. Since I live a long way from our office, it only made sense to work from home. I’m not exactly sure why—probably something to do with finding alternative ways to accomplish the same goal—but scribbling away from 27 miles from work made me think of Today’s News & Views. TN&V’s been a five-day-a-week mainstay for eight years. For those who are unfamiliar, this is a daily blog that tackles topics from A to Z Monday through Friday, come rain or shine (or snow). Available on demand to anyone with a PC or Mac, TN&V will keep you abreast of the latest pro-abortion machinations of the Obama Administration. When there is an alert that requires NRLC members to respond quickly, TN&V will be there to get the message out to a broad audience. Since TN&V is geared to what is taking place that day, it fulfills a vital function. In an era of exploding information technology and virtually universal computer literacy, TN&V opens the door to a more personal, almost hour-by-hour relationship with our readers. My point is simple. If you are not reading TN&V, you should be. Signing up takes about 45 seconds. Just go to http://www.nrlc.org/join_our_mailing_list.htm. An added benefit is that TN&V also can be shared with your friends via many of the social networks. TN&V is an integral part—but only one part—of NRLC’s overall communications outreach. Besides NRL News , NRLC offers a number of other ways of equipping pro-lifers to do their part to help save unborn babies and the vulnerable elderly. There is the invaluable NRLC web page: www.nrlc.org. There is an enormous store of information available there. For your convenience you can download pamphlets and brochures, such as “Abortion: Some Medical Facts” and “The Choice I Made.” There is www.stoptheabortionagenda.com. This is an important place to stop by periodically to stay abreast with what the most pro-abortion President in American history is plotting next. At www.nrlchapters.org, the busy local grassroots volunteer can download a number of helpful resources. You’ll also find an informal and very helpful update on what NRLC is doing at our communications blog (http://nrlcomm.wordpress.com). And then there is Pro-Life Perspective, one of NRLC’s longest standing outreaches. The official broadcast of the National Right to Life Committee, the program is hosted by NRLC President Dr. Wanda Franz, Ph.D. In continuous broadcast since 1985, Pro-Life Perspective provides listeners with the latest legislative and educational information, as well as uplifting stories and commentary. You need to know, and we’ve got it here at our many outlets. Coming full circle, please sign up to receive Today’s News & Views at http://www.nrlc.org/join_our_mailing_list.htm. You will quickly become a huge fan of a blog that brings you the latest breaking news. |
