Your National Right to Life Committee: A “Multiplier for Good”
By Dave Andrusko

“There is no organization that we, and I mean this, there is no organization in all of the United States which we in the White House hold in higher regard, than National Right to Life.”

It was a heady experience to hear those words coming from Tim Goeglein, the man who doubles as special assistant to President Bush and deputy director of the Office of Public Liaison. But that was just the beginning of the kind things he had to say at the 2007 Proudly Pro-Life Awards Dinner about your National Right to Life Committee.

“On behalf of all of us in the Bush-Cheney White House, we salute National Right to Life.” Wow!

And then Mr. Goeglein said something that almost made me blush. He described the National Right to Life team as “force multipliers for good.”

This is the kind of encouragement that keeps you going late into the evening with deadlines pressing. But it was not until today, when I re-read the transcript of Mr. Goeglein’s remarks, that I realized who the true “multipliers for good” really are.

We at National Right to Life habitually labor until our eyes sag with fatigue to protect the powerless. When other organizations are turning out the lights and going home, National Right to Life staff are rolling up their sleeves to begin their second shift.

But we know in our hearts that all our efforts would bear little fruit without you—the millions of grassroots Americans whose dedication and determination nurture and multiply the impact of our work here in the nation’s capital. You are magnificent and the sole reason people of influence open the door to hear our case on behalf of unborn babies.

Without you, National Right to Life would be a handful of people, competing against organizations with hundreds of employees and unlimited payrolls.
With you, all things are possible.

This is a special time of the year for any non-profit, but especially so for an organization that reaches out in so many ways to protect the littlest Americans. National Right to Life advances crucially important public policy issues in Congress, produces first-rate educational material, publishes a newspaper read around the world, and supports candidates for public service who share our commitment to rebuilding a culture of life.

As the year comes to a close and you consider which organizations to help, please consider National Right to Life.
If you look on page 2, you’ll find an easy to understand explanation of the many methods by which you can assist National Right to Life.

Your gift—small or large—multiples the good that pro-lifers do on behalf of the little ones, the little babies who depend entirely on the kindness of strangers.

Thank you.
