Federal Campaign Kicks Off, The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) got under way in the beginning of September. The CFC offers federal government employees the option of a deduction from each paycheck which they can designate to go to their favorite charity such as the all-important National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund. During a two-month giving period on over 300 military bases and post offices around the country, each employee is given a CFC brochure which lists charities alphabetically and by federation. The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund, for example, is listed under the federation called Human Service Charities of America (HSCA), along with its new agency code, #10542, and a 25-word description. If you or someone you know is a federal employee, help further the efforts of the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund by pledging agency #10542 listed under the federation HSCA in the CFC brochure this fall. When a federal employee gives to the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund through the CFC, his or her money goes directly to fund pro-life educational efforts conducted by the NRL Educational Trust Fund and the education funds of NRL’s state affiliate groups, which receive a portion of the proceeds. Last year Kansans for Life, for instance, conducted three Youth Forums and held an exhibit at the Kansas State Fair reaching thousands of people. Kansans for Life also developed and distributed educational pro-life brochures, DVDs, and in-formational packets. Vermont Right to Life Educational Trust Fund hosted a series of educational workshops and helped to support six pro-life booths at county fairs reaching thousands of Vermonters and tourists from out of state. VRTL also hosted its annual Pro-Life Rally for Life, conducted radio spots, and produced an educational newsletter. Right to Life of Michigan last year used educational funds for such activities as helping women connect with crisis pregnancy centers, publishing newsletters, and hosting a number of county and community fair booths, to name just a few of its endeavors. But chances to help pro-life educational efforts are not limited to the CFC, the largest annual workplace giving campaign. The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund is also participating this year in the following state employee campaigns, which you will find located in your state campaign brochure under HSCA’s parent federation called Neighbor to Nation: California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. Another option is for employees who have United Way or private-sector employee campaigns. They can “write-in” the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund on their pledge forms. For pro-lifers, this is an easy, effective, painless way to advance the educational outreach of the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund. Your contribution helps the Trust Fund educate the public about the plight of the unborn, the elderly, and those born with disabilities. Thank you for your past and future support!
