NRL Educational Trust Fund Code Changed to 10542
Knowing How the Combined Federal Campaign Works So
That You Can Contribute to the NRL Educational Trust Fund

BY Marie Hagan

If you or someone you know is a federal employee, you are probably familiar with the CFC (Combined Federal Campaign), created by the Office of Personnel Management in the early 1980s. The CFC offers federal government employees the option of a deduction from each paycheck which they can designate to go to their favorite charity.

For pro-lifers, this is an easy, effective, painless way to advance the educational outreach of the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund. Your contribution helps the Trust Fund educate the public about the plight of the unborn, the elderly, and those born with disabilities.

Furthermore, the Trust Fund produces material on fetal development, abortifacients, embryonic stem cells, and euthanasia. Your support goes to educate our communities through both NRL Educational Trust Fund and the educational funds of NRL’s very active 50 state right to life groups and 3,000 local right to life chapters and is greatly appreciated!

In addition to what the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund is able to accomplish with the CPC donations, a portion of the proceeds is distributed to NRL’s  state affiliate organization’s education funds.

Begins Next Month

The CFC kicks off around the first of September and runs through October in military bases and post offices around the country.

The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund is easy to find. It is listed alpha-betically under the work- place federation called Human Service Charities of America (HSCA). Like every charity listed, as of this fall, the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund has a new code. It is now 10542 (it used to be 2844).

How does the process work? Federal employees are given a pledge form to fill out. It is, of course, essential that the proper code (10542) is written down to ensure your donation goes to the NRL Educational Trust Fund.

The pledge card is then collected by an assigned CFC chairperson who then forwards them to the corresponding federation who organizes and distributes the thousands of donations to each charity.

It’s as easy as that: a payroll deduction process that enables you to support the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund—agency number 10542 in your CFC brochure under HSCA.

Note that the agency code only affects the CFC. The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund also currently participates in the following state employee campaigns (which do not have codes): California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin.
