Contribute to HSCA Agency #2844: This Fall Look to Workplace Giving
Campaigns to Help NRL Trust Fund Pro-lifers are a firm believer that if something is greatly beneficial to our Movement, we need not only to continue with the program but let others know about it. And surely this is the case with the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), gifts to which have been a huge help to the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund and to NRLC state affiliates for 23 years. And as you will see below there are opportunities to help with educational outreach provided to state governmental employees and to those working in the private sector. But to take advantage of these great opportunities, you have to act quickly.
The CFC is a cost-efficient workplace giving program created by the Office of Personnel Management to provide federal employees with philanthropic giving opportunities. Indeed, the CFC is the largest annual workplace giving campaign with more than 300 campaigns throughout the country and overseas. CFC activities take place in military bases and postal offices around the country, where employees receive a CFC brochure. This brochure lists hundreds of charities from which to select and makes it convenient to give through payroll deductions. Pledges are made during the campaign season which spans from September 1 through December 15 (with varying dates for each campaign headquarters). This lengthy period of time affords all federal employees the opportunity to support non-profit organ-izations, such as the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund. The Trust Fund has proudly participated in the CFC for over 25 years. You can find the Trust Fund this fall in your CFC brochure under the federation called HSCA (Human Service Charities of America). You will find it under HSCA Agency #2844. Proceeds generated by the NRL Educational Trust Fund are shared with state affiliate groups and utilized solely for educational purposes such as the funding of educational materials, fair booths, speaking engagements, advertising, oratorical contests, lending libraries, bolstering teen and college right to life groups, assistance to women and men in crisis pregnancy situations, and much more. State government employees in the states listed below and in the District of Columbia may also contribute to the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund. It is listed under Neighbor to Nation—NTN—which is HSCA’s parent federation, in California, District of Columbia, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin. Happily, a growing number of private-sector workplaces are offering employee giving campaigns. Just check with your company to see if you can “write-in” the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund as another opportunity to help the unborn, elderly, and handicapped.
