Black Americans for Life Plans Aggressive Educational Campaign for 2005

Black Americans for Life is planning to expand its educational activities to help educate African-Americans on how they can save Black babies from abortion.

"African-American women have the highest abortion rate of any ethnic group in the United States. Tragically, Black women have an almost unbelievable abortion rate that is three times higher than white women," said Black Americans for Life Director Day Gardner. "Black Americans for Life intends to do all in its power to save Black babies and to prevent their mothers from experiencing the trauma of abortion."

During 2005, Black Americans for Life will sponsor a variety of programs to assist and educate the African-American community regarding abortion, infanticide, and cloning. Planned activities include expanded educational programs during Black History Month (February) and Abortion Awareness Month (June). It will also expand its challenge program during Abortion Awareness Month to provide additional incentives to help increase local participation.

Black Americans for Life will also expand its outreach to Black media outlets and work with other pro-life African-American groups to help coordinate a unified outreach to all Black Americans.

"Our people are hurting and scarred from abortion," Day Gardner said. "It's time to turn things around and embrace a culture of life. All concerned pro-life people - - Black and White - - need to work together to end this genocide."

Black Americans for Life is committed to providing speakers, educational materials, and organizational assistance to help build a strong pro-life base in every state and community in America. Black Americans for Life strongly encourages all Right to Life affiliates and chapters to send us names and contact information for pro-life African-Americans who should be added to the Black Americans for Life mailing list.

Please consider including a Black pro-life speaker in your state conventions, rallies, and local educational programs whenever you can.
