Arkansas RTL Wins Abortion Awareness Month Challenge

For Abortion Awareness Month this year, Black Americans for Life (BAL) issued a challenge for pro-life affiliates and organizations to participate in or organize as many pro-life activities and events as possible throughout the month of June. We sent out a list of suggested activities, asked groups to document their participation, and offered a reward for the group who best completed the challenge. The winner is Arkansas Right to Life!

Arkansas Right to Life completed an impressive list of activities, including sending a press release about Abortion Awareness Month to daily newspapers in Arkansas, airing a BAL public service announcement on several radio stations, and distributing BAL's Abortion Awareness Month literature to area churches. Additionally, Arkansas Right to Life's Coordinator for African-American pro-life education, Helen Evans, appeared as a guest on a Christian television program to discuss abortion awareness in the African-American community.

We appreciate the efforts of all the groups, churches, and individuals who participated in the challenge and helped to make this year's Abortion Awareness Month effort our best yet!
