NRLC Launches New Ad Campaign:

Unborn Children Are Americans Too!

By Derrick Jones
Advertising Coordinator

A number of weeks ago, National Right to Life was approached by Janet Folger, president of Faith2Action, with an idea: unborn children are Americans too. For years, we as a pro-life movement have advanced the idea that unborn children are full members of the human family -- much to the chagrin of our pro-abortion opponents. But this new, fresh angle on the old idea was something that hadn't been considered yet.

Janet also had the idea of how to send the message home with two very simple elements: The words, "I Am an American," displayed underneath a picture taken from a 4-D ultrasound.

For years, we have been able to watch the activities of unborn children through the use of ultrasound technology. Parents proudly carried ultrasound screen shots in their wallets anxiously anticipating the arrival of their child. Recently, ultrasound has been taken a step further. Through 4-D ultrasound, parents can now clearly see the face of their unborn child.

What a wonderful idea! What better way to personify unborn children in the pro-abortion media than to use a brilliant medical ultrasound that clearly shows the face of an innocent child.

After a number of calls and e-mails the concept was finalized and you can see the beautiful end product on the facing page. This new I Am an American ad is available from NRLC's State Organizational Development Department by e-mailing the State OD staff at stateod@aol.com or faxing an order to (202) 347-6121. The ad will also be featured on church bulletin inserts which can be ordered using the order form on page 21.

With the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade fast approaching, help National Right to Life spread the word that unborn children are Americans too!
