So Much Depends
on Our Work

So Much Depends on You!

Since the attacks of September 11th, funding to National Right to Life has been significantly affected by three factors:

* The shift in charitable giving to 9/11-related charities

* The loss of undelivered letters after the anthrax attacks last October~

* Cancelled pledges and reduced donations due to the downturn in the economy last fall

Each of these reasons is understandable. But since 9/11, National Right to Life is down $900,000 in funding. We cannot operate all of our lifesaving programs with such a deficit. Please help when you receive a mailing or phone call requesting financial support. Your help is especially needed from now through the end of the year.

~According to a staffer at a non-profit mail association, many letters mailed to Washington-based organizations last fall remain sealed in trucks at the main Brentwood U.S. mail facility, which is still closed. The staffer believes much of the mail, which may contain contributions, subscriptions, etc., will never be delivered. Every indication is that mail sent to Washington in 2002 is being delivered, using other mail facilities. (Bulk mail sent from National Right to Life uses suburban postal facilities, not those in the District of Columbia.)
