NRLC Launches
Legislative Action Center
NRLC has just added a sophisticated Legislative Action Center to its website at www.nrlc.org. This new component of the website - - powered by CapWiz, the premiere online legislative advocacy tool - - will give you the latest information on pro-life issues in Congress.
The Legislative Action Center contains easy-to-use tools to help you to identify your elected representatives and send them just the right message at the right time.
Just type in your zip code, and you will see all sorts of helpful information displayed about your two U.S. senators and your U.S. House member - - including how they have voted on major pro-life issues, and whether they have cosponsored specific good or bad bills that NRLC is monitoring. You also can view the latest alerts and updates on what is happening in Congress, including suggested messages to your representative on upcoming votes.
Using the new features, you can send the
lawmakers e-mails directly from the NRLC website -- or copy their phone numbers,
fax numbers, or mailing addresses for your own use. Keep in mind that since the
terrorist attacks of 2001, the delivery and counting of regular mail to Capitol
Hill is greatly delayed, so congressional offices are placing more and more
reliance on e- mail and faxed letters.
Visit the NRLC site today and go to the Legislative Action Center. Bookmark the
Center location, or create a shortcut icon on your Windows desktop, so you can
return to the site with one click in the future.
NRL News encourages readers to publicize the NRLC website in local
pro-life newsletters. Editors for websites that attract pro-life visitors are
encouraged to add a link to the NRLC Legislative Action Center, which can easily
be downloaded from the site.
The Center also contains a "Tell A Friend" feature, which allows you
to easily send e-mail to pro-life friends to show them how they, too, can use
the site to make themselves heard by their elected representatives in
Washington.
