STILL TIME TO HELP THROUGH FALL WORKPLACE CAMPAIGNS

By Marie Hagan

In this extremely trying and precarious time for our great country, it is vital that we not forget the unborn and medically dependent elderly who depend upon our faithfulness. Your gracious contributions made to workplace campaigns have been an invaluable assistance to educating minds and changing hearts. There is still time to help in 2001!

Workplace campaigns, such as the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and a number of state employee campaigns, take place in the fall. While some are winding down, many continue on into the middle and end of December.

So, if you or someone you know is a federal or state employee, chances are you still have time to contribute and help protect the innocent. Just check with your campaign chairperson and look for the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund, agency #2844, listed alphabetically under the federation Human Service Charities of America (HSCA) in your campaign brochure.

The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund currently participates in the following state campaigns: California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin. This winter and spring, the NRL Educational Trust Fund will also be applying to the following state employee campaigns: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.

As always, most United Way campaigns allow individuals to "write-in" the charity of their liking. The NRL Educational Trust Fund has also entered into the relatively new realm of private-sector campaigns and currently participates in 87 corporate campaigns under Share America, which is HSCA's parent federation (for a list of these corporate campaigns, or for information about possibly accessing a campaign in your workplace, contact Marie Hagan at 202-626-8800, ext. 112, e-mail: mhagan2@compuserve.com, or Sarah Foxen from HSCA at 800-626-2729, e-mail: sarah@hsca.org.)

Your contributions go directly towards education projects carried out by each of our 50 state affiliates, many of whom have expressed deep appreciation for being able to fund educational pamphlets and brochures, videotapes, booths at fairs and schools, speaking and advertising opportunities, crisis pregnancy assistance programs, and many other creative educational projects.

THANK YOU!
