National Right to Life Launches New Media Campaign

Roe v. Wade
=
Partial-Birth Abortion

By Derrick Jones, Administrative Assistant

P
artial-birth abortion has been likened to infanticide by pro- abortion Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY). The American Medical Association has called the procedure "bad medicine" and said that it is "never medically necessary."

Upwards of 75% of the American people believe partial-birth abortion should be banned.

Congress and 27 states have responded by passing laws banning partial-birth abortion.

But all the public support and medical opinions could not stop the Supreme Court from once again exercising (to quote from Justice Byron White's dissent in Roe v. Wade) "raw judicial power." Its June 28 Stenberg v. Carhart ruling, which struck down Nebraska's ban on partial-birth abortion, made clear the extremism of Roe v. Wade.

The Court ruled that, in essence, Roe v. Wade serves as a blanket protection for all abortion procedures - - even those that involve killing a child who is only three inches from birth.
In response to the Stenberg decision, National Right to Life has launched Roe v. Wade = Partial-Birth Abortion - - a new media campaign that exposes Roe for its extremism and shows how Stenberg is linked to and the result of Roe.

NRLC kicked off the campaign with a press conference and a full- page ad in USA Today the week of July 31. NRLC plans to place the ads in newspapers nationwide. In addition, the campaign plans to feature radio ads.

However, this kind of aggressive truth-telling is expensive. Please help the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund expose Roe v. Wade for what it is, and tell the truth about partial-birth abortion. Please use the coupon in the ad and send your tax-deductible contribution today!
