Pro-life Texas Gov. George W. Bush received the endorsement of NRLC.

The National Right to Life Committee, expressing appreciation for his strong and consistent pro-life position, has endorsed Texas Governor George W. Bush to be the next President of the United States.
Because there were initially a large number of pro-life candidates in the Republican contest, NRLC did not endorse before the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.
However, as the number of candidates dwindled, polls showed that this was now essentially a two-person race with only George W. Bush and Arizona Senator John McCain having a realistic chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination.

Pro-life Texas Governor George W. Bush, endorsed February 9 by National Right to Life, has taken an important early lead in the Republican presidential primaries.
Before the February 19 South Carolina primary Gov. Bush had won in three states - - Alaska, Iowa, Delaware - - but Senator John McCain had won a strong victory in New Hampshire.
Defying media predictions, Bush came roaring back, winning in South Carolina by a 11-point margin - - 53% to 42%. (NRL News went to print before Michigan and Arizona Republican primaries on February 22, and Virginia and Washington primaries on February 29.)

Wrong-Way McCain Not the "Real McCoy"

Pro-choice Republicans [in New Hampshire's primary election] overwhelmingly preferred McCain above all the other candidates. [T]his might be due in part to McCain's recent comment that should his own daughter have an unwanted pregnancy, he believed the decision on how to handle it would be made in the family. Bingo, that's pro-choice. Clearly, if abortion were outlawed ... there would be nothing to decide.

Our biggest fear is the potential for the next president to appoint Supreme Court Justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade. The next layer of anxiety is the threat that our daughters and sisters may not have the same opportunity that Senator McCain instinctively wants for his daughter.
