Attorney William "Bill"
Ball Remembered As Pro-Life Champion
Harrisburg, PA - - A longtime pro-life advocate and attorney, William Bentley Ball of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, died January 10, 1999, in Florida at the age of 82.
Ball's involvement in the pro-life movement spanned almost three decades. His expertise in constitutional law helped the pro-life movement draft and evaluate legislation on both the state and federal level.
In addition to his pro-life work, Bill Ball championed a wide range of religious rights cases, ultimately arguing 10 of them before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ball also served as the founding executive director of the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference and later as its legal counsel.
The pro-life movement has lost another champion, one whose legal wisdom and skill will be sorely missed.
