"Test Your Knowledge"
Board Goes National

T
he Virginia Society for Human Life interactive quiz board, developed by the Lynchburg Chapter in 1998, made its national debut this past June at the 1999 National Right to Life Convention held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The "Test Your Knowledge" board was an enormous hit with grassroots pro-lifers who attended the workshop at which the board was displayed. Once news spread abut the "Test Your Knowledge" interactive quiz board, a number of states quickly determined that this was an invaluable tool to educate the public, one which would be of particular use at local and state events, such as state fairs.

In the weeks following the Milwaukee convention, educational boards had been ordered for organizations in Indiana, Michigan, Oregon, California, Ohio, Nebraska, and Illinois. The National Right to Life Committee had purchased boards prior to the convention, knowing they would be a big hit.

The wide interest in the quiz board, which "tests" the public's knowledge of right to life issues, illustrates how great ideas can develop at the grassroots level, according to Mary Enochs, an officer in the Lynchburg Virginia Chapter. Kip Smith, creative director of Blair Communications and chapter vice- chairman, and Enochs developed the original board, the quiz board is manufactured at a Lynchburg sign shop.

The Knowledge Board is available from American Sign Shops, 2225 Lakeside Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24501. The price is just over $200. You can call (804) 385-8070 for details.
