Opportunity Remains for Fall Workplace Campaign Giving To Help Protect the Helpless

By Marie Hagan

Last year, the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund shared nearly $120,000 with NRLC affiliates as a direct result of generous contributions made by workplace employees through either the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or any number of state/local and private sector workplace campaigns.

Over the past 13 years this annual infusion of resources has proven to be a critical component in underwriting local and state pro-life educational outreach. Just consider the breadth of educational programs made possible when, for example, public employees designate agency #0447 listed under the federation America's Charities.

Those resources will fund educational publications; videos; display booths; advertisements on the radio, television; and in the newspaper, speaking engagements; and other vast and varied pro-life educational projects. This is the face of the pro-life movement seen at the grassroots level.

It is critically important to be aware that each campaign sets its own "kick-off" and "closing" dates. In the CFC, for example, there are about 350 military bases, each with its own separate campaign.

While one campaign will kick off August 30 and end November 30, another may run from October 1 to December 1. State and private sector campaigns have similarly varied time frames. There is still time for you to help.

There are three main ways of donating during the key month of October.

Federal employees may give to the Educational Trust Fund through the CFC. State governmental employees have their individual state campaign. A growing number of private sector personnel have the opportunity to contribute through their corporate campaign.

The donations are used for pro-life educational projects conducted by the NRL Educational Trust Fund and its affiliates.

But time IS running short. Fortunately, whether you are a federal, state, or private sector employee, there is still time for you to help fund pro-life educational efforts by participating in your workplace campaign.

Please quickly take advantage of this convenient way to help the unborn, elderly, and the disabled. Look for National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund, agency #0447 in your workplace campaign brochure, currently listed under the federation America's Charities. Thanks!
