ACTION REQUEST

URGE SENATORS TO CO-SPONSOR AND REPRESENTATIVES TO VOTE FOR LETHAL DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION ACT OF 1998

As explained on page 1, the House is expected to vote in July or the first week of August on H.R. 4006, which would prevent federally controlled narcotics and other dangerous drugs from being used to assist suicide.

Please call and write your U.S. Representative and urge a vote FOR H.R. 4006, sponsored by Representatives Hyde and Oberstar, to prevent federal facilitation of euthanasia.

Please call and write your two U.S. Senators and urge them to co- sponsor the companion Senate legislation, S. 2151, sponsored by Senator Don Nickles (R-Ok.) and co-sponsored by 21 other Senators, including Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-Ct.).
