WASHINGTON
(May 7, 2003) -- The family of murder victims Laci Peterson and her unborn
son Conner have sent the letter that appears below to Congresswoman Melissa
Hart (R-Pa.) and Senator Mike DeWine (R-Oh.), the chief sponsors of the
Unborn Victims of Violence Act. The letter, signed by Laci's mother Sharon
Rocha and five other members of the family of Laci and Conner, suggests
that the bill should be passed "in their memory."
