The Pro-Life Week in Review
Part One of Four

By Dave Andrusko

Good evening, and thanks for taking time out from your busy schedule to read Today's News & Views. Part Two is good news on the adult stem cell front. Part Three summarizes a brilliant analysis from realclearpolitics. Part Four presents more evidence pro-lifers will matter in this election. Over at National Right to Life News Today (www.nationalrighttolifenews.org), we expose a blatant lie by a pro-abortion candidate running for the Senate. We also have the latest from Dr. David Prentice. We conclude with a horrific story that fortunately has a happy ending. Please send your comments on Today's News & Views and National Right to Life News Today to daveandrusko@gmail.com. What a week! Thanks to you, I've had lots and lots of emails to respond to and loads of encouragement that you fully understand the importance of what will take place in ten days.

Even by the standards of Today's News & Views and National Right to Life News Today, this has been a jam-packed week. Let me highlight a few subject areas and provide you with links to those stories you may have missed and a way of easily passing the stories along to your pro-life family, friends, and colleagues.

With mid-term elections approaching like a freight train, there were many blogs. The best include http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Oct10/nv102010part2.html; http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Oct10/nv101910.html; http://www.nrlc.org/NewsToday/AngleReidDebate.html; and http://www.nrlc.org/NewsToday/FeingoldAntiLife.html.

We kept a close eye on the attempts of Rep. Steve Driehaus to censor a pro-life PAC. His legal assault was so blatant the ACLU jumped in to oppose him (http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Oct10/nv102110part2.html).

Although it doesn't get as much attention, rationing is part and parcel of ObamaCare. We kept you updated on developments, including legal challenges

Among the most encouraging news of the week is that the number of abortions last year fell to their all-time low in Ohio (http://www.nrlc.org/NewsToday/OhioAbortionbytheNumbers.html). "Coming into the World Having Learned to be Social in the Womb' talked about the remarkable study that studied the behavior of unborn twins socializing in the womb! (http://www.nrlc.org/NewsToday/SocialintheWomb.html).

And l couldn't finish this summary overview without a word of gratitude, love, and respect for Dr. Mildred Jefferson, who passed away Sunday at 84. A three-term president of National Right to Life, Dr. Jefferson was a beloved figure in our Movement (http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Oct10/nv101810part2.html).

Please be sure to pass along everything you read here through your social networks.

We're counting on you.
