One-Stop to "See
Where the Candidates Stand on Life"
Part Three of Four
By Dave Andrusko
Someone
once kidded me to the effect that I must have the eight words
"NRLC is only as strong as the grassroots" as a permanent part
of my hard-drive, a statement easily pasted into any story.
That's an exaggeration, but not much. I know--all of us at NRLC
know--it all starts with you.
Before we came to NRLC in
1981, my wife and I were active pro-lifers in Minnesota. So I've
seen how our Movement works, both "on the ground" and in
Washington, DC. I suspected then what I know now.
Doesn't matter how
thoroughly NLRC researches what we say to members of Congress,
how persuasive our Political Action Director is to candidates,
or how eloquent any of the staff is in making the case for life.
What counts is that everyone understands that behind us stands
you.
Part of holding up our end
of the bargain--actually a major part--is to provide you with
accurate, factual, no-bunk information that you can put to good
use. That's what this blog is about; what National Right to Life
News is primed to do; and what all that is distributed by NRLC
through our webpage [www.nrlc.org] and individual departments,
is intended to accomplish.
I say all that to make one
critically important point. There is an arguably historic
mid-term election coming up in three and a half-weeks. You and
all your pro-life family, friends, and colleagues need to know
where the candidates stand on life. But where do you go to
obtain that reliable information?
To
http://stoptheabortionagenda.com/downloads/compare-the-candidates.
It's one-stop shopping, better yet it can be easily forwarded to
your pro-life friends and family for their use.
And don't forget, early
voting has already started. (See
