I confess from the get-go that it may seem
odd to talk about a media bias the day after
I congratulated the New
York Times for having the guts to present a
slide show on its webpage showing photos of four
aborted babies. But bear with me for a second,
this won’t take long.
Scrounging around for something else online,
I ran across a photo yesterday taken of the
March for Life last January. The caption
included this final line: “It should be noted
that a large number of the 'Pro Life' marchers
were minors aged under 18.”
It should be noted this so-called
“photographer” or so-called “caption writer” is
transparently biased, not to mention snooty.
Moreover, that the battle over abortion should
draw 20,000 to 50,000 young people from all over
the country to the nation’s capitol says
everything [positive] you would ever want to
know about how well-stocked the pro-life army is
with fledgling lieutenants.
The other item is the notice that Dan the Man
Rather was to be the keynote speaker last night
at Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota,
South Dakota’s “annual gala,” a.k.a. fundraiser.
According to various press releases, “He is
slated to speak on keeping citizens informed as
the dynamics of the media change.”
Speaking of keeping citizens informed, it’s
amazing what you can find on the Internet. There
is a blog, ratherbiased.com, that’s been around
for sometime. Back when Rather was a significant
media player, the blog’s contributions really
were invaluable. Rather, the very embodiment of
the smug, biased-to-the-hilt reporter/anchor,
congratulated himself non-stop for his
objective, above-the-fray stance. The blog
simply quoted him to devastating effect.
Ratherbiased.com has the sayings of Chairman
Rather arranged alphabetically. If you go to
http://www.ratherbiased.com/abortion.htm,
you’ll find a lengthy list of his assorted
pro-abortion ramblings. Increasingly erratic
today, reading over what has escaped his lips
reminds you that Rather has been downright goofy
for a long time.
Anyway, if you didn’t read yesterday’s
edition, please take a few minutes out to go to
http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/index.html.
