Dobson and George Talk about "Obama's Abortion Extremism"
Part Two of Three

Speaking of driving down to hear pro-life Gov. Sarah Palin speak in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the rally was far enough away from my home that I had a chance to listen to a special broadcast that aired at www.citizenlink.org/dailybroadcast/A000008504.cfm. It made for fabulous listening.

Pro-life Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and Citizen Link, was interviewing Prof. Robert George about his article "Obama's Abortion Extremism." (See http://www.nrlc.org/news_and_Views/Oct08/nv101708.html)

The focus of Prof. George's elegant essay is the self-identified "pro-life Catholics" (and Evangelicals) who are ardently supporting pro-abortion Sen. Barack Obama. When Prof. George described their arguments as "spectacularly weak" and "nearly unfathomable," he was being overly generous. They are a string of non-sequitors in search of a rationale for voting for the most pro-abortion candidate ever to be endorsed for President by a major political party.

In his discussion with Dr. Dobson, Prof. George had time only to survey part of the landscape.

But in those few minutes he was able to remind his audience that Obama criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the ban on partial-birth abortions, is gung ho to wipe out the Hyde Amendment, which has saved a minimum of a million babies, and has promised to make signing the "Freedom of Choice Act" his first act as President.

If you think suctioning out the brains of mature unborn babies almost fully delivered is heinous, know that FOCA would make it legal once again. And say goodbye to freedom of conscience for medical personnel.

Take the time, please, to listen to today's program at www.citizenlink.org/dailybroadcast/A000008504.cfm.

And after you've done that, be sure to email me at daveandrusko@hotmail.com so I email you back NRL's marvelous presidential comparison piece.

At that point you can forward that email to the galaxy. What a deal.
