Pro-Life Perspective: The Next Generation of Broadcasting

Several months ago, National Right to Life began podcasting our daily
five-minute radio program, Pro-Life Perspective, via our new web site at
www.prolifeperspective.com. The change takes advantage of new technology
that's been well-received by young folks and older people alike.
Pro-Life Perspective is well known in pro-life circles. The program debuted
more than 20 years ago. Next month we will air our 6,000th
episode.
Pro-Life Perspective has now joined the world of "podcaster." For those of
you unfamiliar with the term "podcasting," you are not alone. But don't
worry. It's easy to understand and even easier to take advantage of.
"Podcasting" is a term born of the increasingly popular iPod music player
(Note: you do not need an iPod music player to take advantage of podcasting.)
Podcasting is simply a shorthand way of saying that you will
be able to download episodes of Pro-Life Perspective directly to your
computer and re-listen to them at your leisure.
A secondary advantage is that if you have a digital music player, you can
also transfer episodes from your computer to your music player and listen to
us on the go.
One of the most important advantages of podcasting is that you can e-mail
links to individual episodes to friends and neighbors who might not have
heard a particular episode on the radio. This allows you to help spread the
pro-life message even further within your communities.
In addition to the podcasts,
www.prolifeperspective.com will feature links to resource materials
discussed in our program. The new web site also provides quick links to the
wonderful resources available on National Right to Life's web site at
www.nrlc.org.
By providing resource links and quick links to
www.nrlc.org, we hope that you will find
the information you need to enhance your pro-life work quickly and easily.
Pro-Life Perspective will continue to air daily on Christian radio stations
across the country. We are grateful to all of the stations that air Pro-Life
Perspective and help us spread the pro-life message. We hope that these
enhancements to our program will not only assist grassroots pro-lifers with
their work, but will also assist our station partners in expanding their
pro-life ministry.
For more than 30 years, National Right to Life has been the premier resource
for timely, accurate information on issues facing the pro-life movement.
With the debut of
www.prolifeperspective.com and our first podcast, we look forward to
spreading that information even further.
