A Fabulous Educational Resource
That Offers Real Hope
Part Two of Two
By Dave Andrusko
Considering how often I turn to
www.stemcellresearch.org,
it’s inexcusable how seldom I
remind our readers to check what
this amazing site has to offer.
Let me make partial amends by
encouraging you to visit “Do No
Harm: The Coalition of Americans
for Research Ethics” today. No
single source does a better job
of demonstrating that there are
many ethically acceptable
alternatives to harvesting human
embryos for their stem cells,
alternatives that are making a
difference in the here and now.
In addition to its long-standing
list of outstanding resources
(which includes many articles in
the popular press), just this
week the site launched an
educational campaign to raise
awareness about adult stem cells
providing documented success in
treating patients for various
diseases and conditions.
If you go to the new website
www.stemcellresearchfacts.org,
you’ll find three short YouTube-based
videos of patients and their
adult stem cell success stories.
They are each only three-minutes
long and they are the perfect
rebuttal when you read or hear
that embryonic stem cells are
needed to help remedy or cure
diseases.
Let me conclude Part Two today
by quoting from the new website.

Life-Saving Stem Cells -
Discover, Learn, Share
Nearly everyone inside and
outside of the medical and
scientific community agrees that
stem cell research represents
one of the most exciting and
promising frontiers for treating
people with a myriad of diseases
and conditions. Stem cell
research and treatments
represent perhaps mankind's
greatest opportunity to fulfill
that ancient call to "heal the
sick," relieve suffering and
improve the quality of life for
untold millions of people.
This website provides scientific
facts and concise information
for those of us who are not
scientists, researchers or
medical professionals. You will
learn answers to "questions like
..."Who is benefiting from stem
cell research and therapies
today?" and "What types of stem
cells are working?" In addition,
basic questions such as "What is
a stem cell?" "Why do we need
stem cell research?" are
answered.
The video patient profiles
featured on this site emphasize
adult stem cell advances with
the goal of informing and the
hope of inspiring you to take
action. These real-life stories
represent a small sampling of
people and the many diseases and
conditions now being helped by
adult stem cells naturally found
in the human body. Stem Cell
Research Facts illustrate how
current adult treatments and
therapies directly impact the
lives of patients and their
families today...
