What's in Store at NRLC 2010, in Pittsburgh, June 24-26
Part Two of Four

By Jonathan Rogers

It's Convention time once more at here at NRLC. While for us that mean's a hectic month of last-minute preparation, hopefully for you it means a delightful month of excited anticipation. (For information on how to register, please go immediately to www.nrlconvention.com.)

If you're a veteran chapter member who's been to previous Conventions, even if you know what to expect--the latest and best information surveying the pro-life movement--each time you gather with pro-life friends you know it's like the first time. But if you've never been, then here's a taste of what's in store at NRLC 2010:

NRLC's annual educational smorgasbord offers a delicious menu of over seventy workshops and general sessions featuring some of the biggest names in the pro-life movement, with decades of experience and wisdom on display. There is something for everyone and for every need.

Are you pro-life but new to the Movement? Curious as to how Obamacare might affect you and the unborn? Wondering what exactly are right to life chapters and how do they work, or how can you use social media to boot my pro-life influence? Well, come to the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh Int'l Airport.

Say your interest is Planned Parenthood. There are several opportunities to learn about the largest abortion provider in the world. And if you want to know more about the abortion-breast cancer link or Post-abortion syndrome or what's the political landscape look like for pro-lifers moving forward, come to Pittsburgh June 24-26.

As Apple might say for cellphone applications, "there's a workshop for that."

In addition to the workshops and sessions, NRLC 2010 will have a wide range of exhibition booths for you to stroll through and purchase from.

At the Convention, you'll have the chance to meet and mingle with thousands pro-lifers from all over the country, find out what they're up to in their local communities, compare notes and share ideas, and gear up for the road ahead.

It's something we always look forward to, because nothing's more encouraging than to meet with all the grassroots pro-lifers out there who daily offer up their time and dedication in the service of others.

I strongly encourage you to hope over to the Convention's website (www.nrlconvention.com) and take a look at the promo video up right now, and review the schedule so you can see who some of this year's big speakers are. You can also download the promotional flier which give you all of the who/what/when/where details.

Please share that flier with all your pro-life contacts. We don't spend bundles on advertising (we'd rather offer cheaper registration instead), so we rely on all you folks to advertise by word of mouth. Spread the word about NRLC 2010 as widely as possible. Remember, just mentioning it to someone unfamiliar with the pro-life movement can become an educational event all on its own.

I've heard the Convention described as the "Superbowl" of the pro-life movement, although to me it's always felt a bit like NFL Draft Day as well. Only all our top picks are more of the Mother Theresa caliber than Ryan Leaf.

Seriously, Mother Theresa came in 1985.

Stay tuned, we'll have more info on the Convention in the days ahead as we get closer.
