Attention Chapters,
Don't forget to Circle June 23-25 on Your Calendars
By Jonathan Rogers,
NRLC Field Coordinator
We're
only at the Ides of March, but before you know it, the
2011 NRLC Convention in Jacksonville, Florida, June
23-25 will be here. We've already been busy laying down
plans and are hard at work preparing to make this
Convention one to remember. And when you can headline
"Fred Barnes in attendance," you've got a hot top of the
ticket. But, to switch metaphors, Mr. Barnes’ appearance
is just the tip of the iceberg. After all, when you've
got:
-
Over seventy
workshops and sessions
-
Seasoned
grassroots activists and very pro-life speakers
-
The largest
meeting of pro-life leaders in the country
-
Presentations on
the latest information in every topic of pro-life
interest
-
A full exhibit
floor with booths from some of your favorite
pro-life groups
-
An entire teen
Convention running alongside the adult Convention
You've got the
most important educational resource for pro-lifers in
the country. And Fred Barnes. Did I mention Fred Barnes?
Right to Life
chapters across the country need to bookmark the
Convention as a must-attend event. Whether you've gone
before and could use a refresher or the chance to
network with old friends within the movement, or haven't
gone and want to see what it's all about, you need to be
there with us.
Chapters should
set aside money in their budgets to send one or two
representatives to the Convention. You can always host a
small fundraiser or seek out a few donations to help
raise the cost of travel expenses. Sending a
representative from your chapter will make sure that
your person can bring back all the information they
learned to share with your members, and we can meet and
hear from them.
The Convention is
one of the primary ways we at NRLC stay in touch with
the vast network of pro-life chapters which do the real
heavy lifting in the movement. This is our chance to
give back to you and hear from you, to find out what's
working and what isn't, to find out how we can assist
your efforts in the best possible way.
All of us at
National Right to Life look forward to seeing you all
there.
