Even as I write these remarks, activists
from across the nation are assembling in
Charlotte, North Carolina, for THE pro-life
educational event of the year. Although
on-site registration has only just begun,
the excitement is already palpable.
NRLC staff is working furiously to
accomplish last-minute tasks. The goal is
meet the high standards of previous
conventions, no easy task. But you'd be
impressed, if you were here, by their
dedication and organizational skills.
What do we know about the attendees? Many
will, of course, be veterans of many, many
previous conventions. But an increasingly
large percentage will be younger and/or
first-time participants. We know in advance
that most will be techno-savvy.
To that end my wife, Lisa (editor of the
NRLC Convention Yearbook), and I will join a
newer member of the NRLC staff to talk about
newsletters, newspapers, and on-line
resources. The latter will largely be an
explanation and exploration of NRLC's
website –
www.nrlc.org.
If you haven't visited the site, you are
missing out on a motherlode of information.
I will be blogging each day from the
convention, which runs through Saturday. I
hope to give you a sense of the convention's
flavor and convince you, if you are close
enough, to swing by for at least a day.
The information you will be exposed to is
unmatched. But the camaraderie, the sharing,
the fellowship is worth its weight in gold.
Talk to you tomorrow.
