The Incredible Power of Images: “Rose’s First Photo Album”
Part Four of Five

By Luis Zaffirini

When I was 4-years- old, my mother became pregnant with my little sister. As a way to help explain to my older sister and to me what was happening inside her, my mother bought a book of photos depicting the development of the unborn. (Being a nurse, she also tried to explain to us how the baby could breathe inside her and stay alive!)

I have vivid memories of asking to see the photos again and again. I was so curious not just about my new sibling, but also about where I had come from. I firmly believe that those images put me on the path that led me to become an advocate for the unborn today. That is the power of images and the power of knowing the truth about human life and its origins and development.

Local groups and chapters have found various ways to convey this message for years. Now National Right to Life has developed our own resource to help support these groups in their effort.

It's called “Rose's First Photo Album,” and it is a picture book that follows the development of a baby names Rose from the beginning of her life at conception all the way to when she is a toddler. The album is narrated from Rose's perspective and at each stage in development, the Rose notes her growth and her new abilities.

This booklet will come in a wide variety of size which will make it useful in as many circumstances. The largest size--11" x 17"--makes it ideal for use at exhibits and booths a pro-life group runs at county and church fairs. It could even be used for presentations to small groups.

The booklet will be available to in 8.5"x11", 5"x7", 4"x6", and as small as 2"x3" which means they can be placed on your key chain an shared with people on the go.

We know “Rose's First Photo Album” will be an extremely powerful tool in the hands of local chapters to change the hearts and minds of Americans.

You will be able to preview the entire booklet at www.nrlc.org, www.stoptheabortionagenda.com, and www.nrlchapters.org as soon as they are available.
