Oregon Right to Life held
its annual Pro-life rally on the steps of the Oregon State
Capital this past Sunday, January 16th. Despite the pouring rain
between 800 and 900 people came to stand in solidarity with the
victims of abortion in Oregon.
Members of Oregon State
University Right to Life set up a fifty-foot memorial wall to
the unborn victims of abortion in Oregon. The creators of the
wall printed a name for every child on the wall underneath the
month that the child had died.

Equally as moving was a
speech given by the Oregon Right to Life oratory award winner
Alexa Sleadd. Alexa, a 17-year-old senior from Grants Pass,
Oregon, exhorted the assembled crowd to live the pro-life
movement every day with love.
The Bethany Baptist Praise
band ended the afternoon with a song while rally participants
circled the capital praying silently for the unborn and for the
legislators who worked inside. We at Oregon Right to Life are
blessed to have such a dedicated Pro-life community here in
Oregon.
