"And the Reason
I'm Pro-Life is Because…."

Justice Byron
White |
We are now just
three days away from the 38th anniversary of a decision
that will forever live in infamy: Roe v. Wade. NRLC
affiliates are gathering their loyal troops all over the
country, often at the state capitals, to commemorate
what dissenting Justice Byron White aptly described as
"an exercise of raw judicial power." (As an aside, I had
completely forgotten that Justice White's powerful
remarks appeared in Roe's companion case, Doe v. Bolton,
although it applied to both cases. )
We've run stories
about three state rallies so far, including one today,
and will so over the next week. It is important for all
of us to remember that while the annual March for Life
next Monday will gather most of the media coverage, not
everyone can make it to Washington, DC.
My suspicion is
that the first priority of many/most of the grassroots
activists who make things happen in the states would be
to attend their local rallies and marches.
Please be sure to
share your February issue of National Right to Life News
with friends, family, and colleagues. We will cover what
takes place both in the states and in our nation's
capital. (If you are not a subscriber, call us at

Some pro-life
organizations are providing a very useful service,
posting answers to the question why individuals on their
staff are pro-life. I would very much like to run
excerpts from our readers why YOU are pro-life. Please
send your thoughts to
daveandrusko@gmail.com.
I know in advance
the answers will be as diverse as the men and women,
young and old who make up the greatest Movement for
social justice of our time.
If you need a
reason to take a few minutes to write, please read Part
One where an abortionist is charged with eight counts of
murder.
One was a
41-year-old woman, the other seven are babies in the in
the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy whom
abortionist Keith Gosnell is charged with inducing their
labor and then "cutting into the back of the neck with
scissors and severing their spinal cord," according to
the Associated Press.
That's the legacy
of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton.
Please write me

because…."
