DECISION 2008

It didn't take long. When I titled this edition of TN&V, I listed it as January 2, 2007. Where DID 2007 go?

I trust you had a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year and that your batteries are recharged. We'll need that as 2008 promises to be a year to remember.

If I may I'd like to devote the first edition of the new year to something I believe you must have. It is National Right to Life News's special January 22 Commemorative Edition now winging its way through the Postal Service to the homes of our 360,000+ readers.

The title for this important issue is "Decision 2008." You can download the order form at http://nrlc.org/news/Jan222008Ad.html or, for faster service, you can call us at 202-626-8828. You will want to order a great many additional copies to give to friends, family, colleagues, members of your local chapter and members of the clergy.

As editor, I suppose it's only natural that I take pride in an edition to which a lot of tremendously talented people contributed powerful and thoughtful articles. Let me just mention a few of them.

By way of background, there are three stories that give the reader the essentials about abortion in general, the hideous Roe v. Wade decision in particular. You will learn details about the status of abortion in America that you never knew.

Your spirits will be lifted by the story headlined,
"2007 Congressional Session Ends with All Pro-Life Policies Intact." A magnificent accomplishment, brought to you in large part by NRLC and President Bush.

(We also summarize President Bush's many invaluable contributions. It really does make a difference who occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.)

There are stories such as "Life Leaders"--a new NRLC outreach program-- which show you the many easy ways there are to become a more active, involved pro-lifer. It really is much easier than you think.

As we do each month (only more so), we show you how young people are changing the face of the Movement. In addition, we write about how pro-lifers are using Information Technology in a sophisticated way to further the cause of unborn children.

There are many more fascinating articles, but let me just emphasize two that are on an issue that is grabbing more attention by the month: men and abortion. Long the silenced voice, men are now speaking up. That includes men whose babies were aborted against their will and men who were complicit in the deaths of their own unborn children.

It's not too late to order additional copies--from one more to a 1,000 more. To expedite matters, I would suggest you look at the form found at http://nrlc.org/news/Jan222008Ad.html and then call us at 202-626-8828.

Thanks for everything!
