The Pro-Life Week in Review
Part One of Three

By Dave Andrusko

Good evening. Please send your comments on any of the three parts of Today's News & Views and/or the three parts of National Right to Life News Today to daveandrusko@gmail.com. If you like, join those who are now following me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/daveha.

My favorite TN&V is always Friday's overview of stories we've discussed during the week, a heads-up on other stories running today, along with a passing reference to stories we don't have time to go into depth about.

In Part Two I talk about what is--for TIME magazine, at least--a remarkably even-handed piece on NARAL's all-guns-blazing attack on women-helping centers. NARAL and its kissing cousin, PPFA, grasp that if they could destroy crisis pregnancy centers, their market "share" would jump--lots more dead babies.

Part Three explains a new feature on Twitter which can assist pro-lifers get out message out even more effectively. As we have discussed a number of times, social networking is a marvelously effective tool that pro-lifers can use to help level the playing field tilted by the Abortion Establishment's vault of cash.

Over at National Right to Life News Today (www.nationalrighttolifenewstoday.org), you'll find a number of fascinating items, beginning with a revolutionary application for Apple's iPad called "Hello Baby." Also we've talked a great deal this week about pro-abortion President Barack Obama, whose self-inflicted wounds are beginning to bleed, politically. (We also talk about the bogus notion that he is "moderating" over at National Right to Life News Today.)

As much as anything, voter resentment grows out of massive disenchantment with ObamaCare. (Check out http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Aug10/nv081210.html; http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Aug10/nv081210part2.html; http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Aug10/nv081010.html; and http://www.nrlc.org/NewsToday/DoublingDown.html.)

The best summary you'll find anywhere of how ObamaCare builds-in rationing can be found at http://www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Aug10/nv081010part3.html

Then there's a heads-up we ran about how you can easily and conveniently further pro-life educational work by participating in workplace giving campaigns. This is very important, so I hope you read it and pass it along to your pro-life friends. www.nrlc.org/News_and_Views/Aug10/nv081110part4.html)

Finally, you can't open a newspaper or go to an Internet site without being told how "extreme" various and sundry pro-life candidates allegedly are. Since many of these news sources are colleagues-in-arms with pro-abortion Democrats, their "concern" for the fortunes of the GOP rings a tad hollow.

In that vein, it's interesting, is it not, that pro-abortion Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Ca.) has taken to the Internet with an ad attacking pro-life Republican Carly Fiorina that is so over the top you can't help but laugh. The only thing missing in "Fiorina on Roe v. Wade" is some grainy black and white film of a chain-gang.

But why is Boxer "dropping the abortion card BEFORE the Labor Day sprint begins" asks San Francisco Chronicle blogger Joe Garofoli . It "may hint at some internal polling that shows this race is going the wrong way for her." [www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/nov05election/detail?entry_id=70039]
Certainly the latest poll from Survey USA might also help explain the 15-second ad. In it Fiorina is ahead 47% to 42%.

Please read all our items today at TN&V and National Right to Life News Today. See you Monday!
