Support for Abortion: The "Alpha and Omega" for Democrats?
Part Two of Two

Editor's note. NRLC has produced the definitive chronology of Sen. Barack Obama's four-year effort to cover-up his full role in killing legislation to protect born-alive survivors of abortions. Please take the time to be read this at
www.nrlc.org/ObamaBAIPA/WhitePaperAugust282008.html.

I have mentioned many times in this space my appreciation for our generous and helpful readers. The latest example of a reader bringing to my attention something I would have missed came this morning.

The Huffingtonpost.com blog is not exactly my cup of tea. To be polite, many of the posts you find there are bizarre.

On the other hand, author and screenwriter Nora Ephron is someone whose work I've found delightfully charming over the years. But her contribution yesterday to that blog ("Hillary the Admonisher") was the pits.

It's up to her whether (as she did yesterday) Ephron trashes Sen. Clinton. That's intra-Democratic Party inside baseball.

But then there was this:

"My other favorite thing about Hillary's speech is that she wrapped herself up in Seneca Falls, and my God Harriet Tubman, even Harriet Tubman, and yet somehow she never once referred to Roe vs. Wade. She never once mentioned choice. She never once said the truth, which is that any Hillary supporter who doesn't understand that this issue alone is the reason to vote for Obama has no business pretending to be a Democrat. I realize that sounds as if I'm admonishing her, but I caught the admonishment bug last night and this blog is an attempt to shake it off."

The title for this edition of TN&V comes from a piece that appears elsewhere on the web today. The question posed by that op-ed is one that I fully share: how did the party of that author's ancestors become the political arm of the most extreme pro-abortionists?

How could militant, unequivocal, no-abortion-should-ever-be-prohibited partisans have assumed complete control of the machinery of the party. It says everything that the Democratic Party is nominating Barack Obama, a man who has staked out new territory for the killing machine to operate in. (See www.nrlc.org/ObamaBAIPA/WhitePaperAugust282008.html)

NRLC is strictly non-partisan. The Republicans are the party of life. If the Democrats were also a party of life, we would sing their praises as well.

But they are not. They are the Party of Death.
