National Right to Life PAC Endorses Marco Rubio for Senate
Part One of Three

U.S. Senate Candidate Marco Rubio Endorsed by NRL PAC

WASHINGTON -- With Florida Governor Charlie Crist's announcement that he will run as an independent in the upcoming election for U.S. Senate, the political arm of the nation's largest pro-life organization, the National Right to Life Political Action Committee (NRL PAC) has endorsed former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate .

"As Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, Marco Rubio was a strong advocate for life," said National Right to Life Political Director Karen Cross. "Our endorsement represents Speaker Rubio's unwavering commitment to renewing a culture of life in Florida and throughout the nation."

Governor Crist's decision to run as an independent allows Rubio to capture the Republican nomination in Florida's August 24 primary and sets up a three-way contest in the November general election with Crist, Rubio, and pro-abortion Representative Kendrick Meek.

"With his announcement today to run as an independent in the general election, Charlie Crist has simply joined a long line of politicians who are driven by ego, self-delusion, personal aggrandizement and not by what is best for the people," said National Right to Life Hispanic Outreach Director Raimundo Rojas who resides in Orlando. "In stark contrast, Marco Rubio is a statesman who exemplifies the best of Florida and who will represent all Floridians at every stage of life – we all look forward to the day next year when Marco is sworn in as Florida's next United States Senator."
