Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey has fired the office manager at the center of a video recorded January 13 which shows her as she “converses with a man and a woman posing as sex traffickers regarding their interest in accessing contraception, abortions and sexually transmitted-disease testing for underage prostitutes,” according to the Associated Press.

“As depicted in the video, the clinic manager advises that the underage girls could lie about their age to lessen the chance of triggering an investigation once they sought health services,” the AP reports. “’For the most part, we want as little information as possible,’ the employee says, according to the video” produced by the California-based pro-life group Live Action.

The office manager of the central New Jersey clinic also “coached them to lie about the age of the girls’ sex partners” reports Susan Livio of the Star Ledger. ‘’"If they are a minor, we are obligated if we hear certain information, to kind of report (it),’ the manager said. ‘So as long as they just lie and say, ‘Oh, he’s 15, 16,’ no one should question them.”

According to Livio, New Jersey Attorney General Paula Dow has asked the Division of Criminal Justice to investigate whether the manager broke any laws. “At first glance, I find these allegations to be very disturbing," Dow said in a statement.

In her own statement issued Tuesday Phyllis Kinsler, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey, said that she and her colleagues were "profoundly shocked when we viewed the videotape released this morning, which depicted an employee of one of our health centers behaving in a repugnant manner that is inconsistent with our standards of care and is completely unacceptable."

"We have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behavior, and the employee in the video was immediately suspended from her duties this morning and was terminated this evening," Kinsler said.

On the video, when they ask what they should do if one of the young girls needs an abortion, the pimp and prostitute are told to take them to the Metropolitan Medical Associates where “their protocols aren’t as strict as ours and they don’t get audited the same way that we do.”

Planned Parenthood condemned Live Action for the undercover video, alleging, among other things, that the video was “heavily edited.” Live Action has made the entire video available at its web site.

Just last month the Star Ledger reported that “The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has announced a national expansion that could double the number of abortion clinics it operates in New Jersey from three to six by 2013.”

Pro-Life New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and pro-abortion supporters in the state legislature are in an extended battle over Gov. Christie’s first state budget. Noticeably absent was $7.5 million that had previously been set aside for "family planning.”
