N.J. Man Accused of Raping Wife
Because She Wouldn't Get Abortion
By Dave Andrusko
The story was so grim I held off
writing about it yesterday. But unfortunately the rape of
pregnant women who refused to abort is a reality that is not
confined to the malicious behavior of one 24-year-old man.
Thomas Hill is currently being
held in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly on $75,000
bail, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Hill was
arrested "after he allegedly raped his wife, the mother of his
two children, because she refused to have an abortion" last
Sunday. He is charged with sexual assault, aggravated assault,
criminal restraint, terroristic threats, and endangering the
welfare of a child.
Hill's alleged assault took place
"in the bedroom where three children, including two of his own,
were sleeping," according to the Daily News.
"Hill, an ex-con, demanded she
have an abortion, but when the victim insisted on continuing the
pregnancy, police say an argument ensued inside her home," the
Daily News's Jason Nark reported.
