TIME RUNNING OUT TO ASSIST THE UNBORN THROUGH THE
COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN, STATE, & PRIVATE SECTOR

By Marie G. Rivers

The annual fall workplace campaign for federal employees, the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), is now in its final few weeks. If you have not already designated the NRLC Educational Trust Fund, you still have time.

The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund (agency #10542) can be located alphabetically under the workplace campaign federation called Human Service Charities of America (HSCA).

As a participant in the CFC, the National Right to Life Educational Trust is very grateful to those thousands of federal employees who, year in and year out, select the NRLTrust Fund from the choices found in CFC brochures. The CFC has become the largest annual workplace charity campaign in the world.

In addition, about half of the state governments have begun to offer campaigns to their employees. Beyond the government, many private sector campaigns now exist. (More about that in a moment.)

But whatever the source, for nearly 30 years, the NRL Educational Trust Fund has shared these donations with NRLC's state affiliates' educational arms throughout the nation. They continue to educate their communities in so many life-affirming ways.

Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund, for example, uses CFC funds to "help educate teen and collegiate leaders, provide financial assistance to pregnant women in need of emergency help, purchase keywords that direct pregnant Wisconsin women to a right-to-life pregnancy help center through our 123GiveLife.com website and young people to TeenBreaks.co, provide outreach education through booths at various venues like the state teachers' convention, make available an extensive right-to-life lending library and air life-affirming educational television ads statewide under the Veritas Society," wrote Development Director, Mary Phillips.

Anne Fox, President of Massachusetts Citizens for Life, expressed thanks for their state's share of CFC donations. This helps her group "speak to 8,000 students a year and have a very effective educational Statewide Youth Conference. "

Jinny Perron, President of Arizona Right to Life, also expressed gratitude and explained how her right to life group utilizes CFC dollars to educate its citizens. "Arizona Right to Life uses our donor proceeds to educate our communities through our outreach educational booths at our State Fair, at other statewide events, through our monthly newspaper, our Resource Library and through our Speaker's Bureau," Jinny stated. "With donor proceeds we recently produced a powerful 40 minute documentary…with an accompanying leadership packet."

So, how can you help? Federal employees flipping through your CFC brochures, please consider helping the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund to continue its educational work on behalf of the unborn, elderly and those with disabilities. As mentioned above we are listed alphabetically under the federation Human Service Charities of America (HSCA). The NRL Educational Trust Fund is agency number is: #10542.

State employees in the following states can also find the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund alphabetically under HSCA's sister federation called Neighbor to Nation (NTN): California, District of Columbia, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

And private-sector employees can always check with their local United Way and their workplaces for "write-in" campaigns. If they participate, you simply write in the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund to have your contribution go to pro-life educational endeavors.

All of your generous donations go to extremely good work and are very much appreciated!
