The Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics

 

The Powell Center for Medical Ethics is dedicated to the memory of longtime NRLC Vice President Robert Powell, a Texan with a disability who served as a pro-life champion in leading the struggle to protect the lives of people with disabilities and older people from euthanasia. The Powell Center for Medical Ethics serves as NRLC’s arm in fighting to protect the vulnerable born from both direct killing and denial of lifesaving medical treatment, food and fluids. Many people outside the pro-life movement do not know that from its beginning in 1973, The National Right to Life Committee has opposed infanticide and euthanasia with the same determination and vigor with which it fights abortion.
