Will Daschle and Johnson Vote for Human Embryo Farms?
South Dakota 60-second radio ad -- MP3 format
WOMAN: I see that President Bush urged the Senate to pass the Brownback bill – to ban the cloning of human embryos. He warned that unless this is done quickly, we’ll end up with human "embryo farms."
MAN: Yeah – but Senator Daschle is fighting hard to defeat that bill. He wants to allow biotech labs to clone human embryos, to be sold and killed in experiments.
WOMAN: But our state law already bans experimenting on human embryos, and ninety-five percent (95%) of our state legislature just voted to endorse the Brownback bill! What about Tim Johnson?
MAN: [Grunts.] So far, Johnson has endorsed an awful bill that would allow the cloning of human embryos, and then send a woman to jail if she helps a single cloned embryo to survive!
WOMAN: Can’t they see that it’s just not right to make human embryos and harvest them like crops?
NARRATOR: If you agree with President Bush, then urge the senators to support the Brownback bill.
Please call toll free, Senator Johnson at 1-800-537-0025, and Senator Daschle at 800-424-9094.
