Will Our Senators Vote for Human Embryo Farms?
WOMAN: I see that President Bush urged the U.S. Senate to pass the Brownback bill – to ban the cloning of human embryos. He warned that if this is not done quickly, we’ll end up with human "embryo farms." Biotech labs will create human embryos specifically to use them in experiments that will kill them!
MAN: Yeah – but Senator Ted Kennedy and the biotech labs are fighting the bill. These companies want to mass produce human embryos by cloning, and then sell them for profit. They want a different bill that allows human cloning for experiments, but makes it a crime to help a single cloned human embryo to survive!
WOMAN: Incredible! Will Senators Bayh and Lugar support the ban?
MAN: They say they’re undecided.
WOMAN: Undecided -- on whether to allow human embryo farms? I sure hope they decide that it’s just not right to make human embryos, and then harvest them like crops.
NARRATOR: If you agree with President Bush that cloning human embryos should be banned, then urge Senators Lugar and Bayh to support the Brownback bill. It is the ONLY bill that REALLY bans human cloning!
