Will Our Senators Vote for Human Embryo Farms?

Georgia 60-second radio ad

WOMAN: I see that President Bush urged the U.S. Senate to pass the Brownback bill to ban the cloning of human embryos. The President warned that unless this is done quickly, we’ll end up with human "embryo farms." Biotech labs will clone human embryos specifically to use them in experiments that will kill them!

MAN: Yeah, but senators like Ted Kennedy are fighting hard to defeat the Brownback bill. They want to allow biotech firms to clone human embryos to be sold and used in experiments.

WOMAN: But what about our two Georgia senators?

MAN: Senator Miller is strongly in favor of allowing human embryos to be cloned -- and he even wants to make it a crime if anyone acts to allow a cloned human embryo to survive. Go figure! But Senator Cleland is undecided.

WOMAN: Human embryo farms! My goodness, can’t they see it’s just not right to make human embryos and then harvest them like crops?

NARRATOR: If you agree with President Bush that cloning of human embryos should be banned, then call Senator Cleland at 404-331-4811. Urge him to support the only REAL ban on human cloning – the Brownback bill.
